Bob Marshall's Bio

Bob Marshall, founder of The Marshall Plan, has an extensive background in the recruiting industry as a Recruiter, Manager, VP, President, Consultant and Trainer.

 

He started in search and recruiting on June 15, 1980 with the Management Recruiters franchise in Reno, NV.  He participated in several superstar panels and was a Pacesetter in 1981 finishing #32 (out of approximately 1500 Account Executives) in the nation and #6 in the Pacific region.  Weathering the 1982 recession, he ended that year as the only recruiter in the office.  During his tenure in Reno, he was named Account Executive of the Month 16 times.

 

In 1984, Bob became Management Recruiters, Sales Consultants & Compusearch Western Regional Manager training and directing their 60+ offices in the eleven western states.  He was acknowledged as the top trainer in the MR network for the next two years.

 

In early 1986, Bob became manager of the MR office in Sausalito, California.During his second quarter, the office won Office of the Quarter (along with the highest PDA of production and the highest average number of placements).  In 1986 he originated and produced the first Morning Meetings video training series for MR/SC/Compusearch/OM5.

 

In September 1986, Bob went into business for himself founding The Bob Marshall Group (based on The Marshall Plan).  He has traveled extensively throughout the United States, the United Kingdom, Malta and Cyprus training recruiters.  In addition to his training regimen, many respected recruitment companies have retained Bob.  Some include:  Apple One, The Accountants Overload Group, Spectra Professional Search and MSI International.  Bob’s current list of copyrighted recruitment products and services include:  “Your Desk As A Manufacturing Plant” Recruiter Training Manual; Speaking Engagements; 45 audio tape/CD training series along with the transcripts; the Forms package; modularized/multi-task Daily Planner; and the 100+ page Quick Resource Guide (QRG).


To this day, Bob continues to coach and train recruiters as well as working his desk on a daily basis from his Atlanta headquarters.  He also has professional affiliations in London, England.  He specializes in helping companies fill their most difficult positions.

Bob's accomplishments include:  GAPS (Georgia Association of Personnel Services) Board Member, 1996-1999; recipient, Million Dollar Hall of Fame Award, 1999; Board of Directors Award, 1999; $300K+ Club Award, 1999.

He earned his BA in Political Science with a major in International Relations from UCLA in 1972 and a MIM (Masters of International Management) from The American Graduate School of International Management (Thunderbird Campus), Glendale, Arizona in 1975.
